Internal use: Simmer 1 teaspoon of white oak bark in 1 cup of water for 15–20 minutes. Drink up to once daily for short-term use, especially for diarrhea, bleeding, or inflammation.

 

External use: Simmer and use the decoction as a compress, sitz bath, mouth rinse, or wound wash. Especially helpful for hemorrhoids, infections, or skin irritation.
